Do You Coalesce? 🧐
During ‘Dry January’, we discussed the importance of air dryers and how their desiccant beads absorb moisture. However, the air we breathe contains all kinds of other contaminants… so what protects the dryer from things like micro-organisms, atmospheric particles, and oil aerosols?
This job belongs to the ‘superhero-like’ coalescing filter, arguably the most important component of air purification. These unit scan filter up to 99.9999% of contaminants down to an incredibly small 0.01 micron (1/100,000th of a mm)!
Although desiccant beads are excellent at absorbing moisture, they must remain clean, especially from oil, which inhibits water retention. Installing a coalescing filter from a world-class manufacturer (such as Parker Hannifin) upstream of your dryer will significantly improve its performance, efficiency, and service life.
Coalescing for the WIN!
